Unlike, extra virgin olive oil, pomace olive oil goes under a chemical process to get an edible product with the maximum acidity of 1.5⸰ not more than 1 g per 100 g.

Olive pomace oil is not always marketed solely, it is mixed with extra virgin oil to improve its flavor for further beneficial usage.
